Peterborough Regional Health Centre has opened a COVID-19 assessment centre to help address the coronavirus pandemic. The centre is located within a dedicated area inside the hospital’s emergency department at 1 Hospital Dr.

in the city. To date, health officials have confirmed one positive case of COVID-19 in the Peterborough area. Trent University says the patient — a man in his 30s — is associated with its Peterborough campus.

Assessments are available by appointment only after completion of a COVID-19 self-assessment. Based on those results, contact Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or Peterborough Public Health at 705-743-1000 ext.
