This championship is, roughly, at its halfway stage. The next busy round doesn’t get underway till June, allowing the waiting game for now.
But if the WTC does get called off or extended beyond its two-year cycle, India and Australia will have much reason to feel disappointed.
In the 9-team table, India and Australia are considerably ahead for the two spots for the finals, which is a one test shootout in Lord’s, England.
