The sequel to the 2018 hit Venom has been delayed eight months as COVID-19 continues to leave theaters closed and Hollywood productions shut down.The second installment in the action fantasy, directed by Andy Serkis and starring Tom Hardy in the titular role of Venom (and alter ego Eddie Brock) was initially slated to be released October 2, 2020.The upcoming movie - formally titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage - now has a release date of June 25, 2021, Varietyreported Tuesday.
