Stephen Graham cast as Bruce Springsteen’s dad in new biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’
Stephen Graham has been cast as Bruce Springsteen’s father in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.The film, which stars The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White as a young Springsteen, is directed by Scott Cooper (Black Mass, Hostiles) and will begin shooting this autumn.From 20th Century Studios, Deliver Me From Nowhere follows Springsteen during the making of his 1982 album ‘Nebraska’.Graham, whose credits include Peaky Blinders, Snatch, Gangs of New York, This Is England, and Boiling Point will play the Boss’ dad, Douglas “Dutch” Springsteen, Variety reports.The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, as well as Odessa Young, who is rumoured to play a love interest. It was reported in May that Succession’s Jeremy Strong is in talks to portray Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager.Back in August, White spoke to GQ about his preparation for portraying the rock icon.
