International 'James Bond villain' jailed for 25 years for 'breathtaking' crimes
An international drug trafficker who led a life "in keeping with a villain in a James Bond" film has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars.Paul Le Roux, 47, was arrested in 2012, after the US Drug Enforcement Administration caught wind of his international drug trafficking ring.Judge Ronnie Abrahams said the scale of his crimes was "breathtaking" and compared his life to that of a "villain in a James Bond movie."Le Roux headed a team of murderous mercenaries, and commissioned beatings, shootings and firebombs, as well as aiding Iran in the development of a weapons system.Sentencing La Roux on Friday via teleconference, Judge Ronnie Abrams said: "I have before me a man who engaged in conduct in keeping with a villain in a James Bond
