The 52-year-old actor, who has played nurse David Hide on the BBC medical drama since 2016, lost his mum to coronavirus, while his sister-in-law died after a battle with cancer.Opening up about his devastating loss, Jason praised the NHS for their tireless efforts to fight Covid throughout the pandemic.Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "Lockdown and this whole coronavirus period has been incredibly challenging for so many families."I can completely understand what so many people have been going through."It's been a very peculiar time in all our lives.
