Incredible, inspirational and selfless - 11 unsung heroes honoured in first ever Pride of Scotland Awards

Pride of Scotland Awards and today we reveal the unsung heroes who will be honoured in our Hogmanay spectacular.Our glittering People’s Oscars, which will go out on STV on New Year’s Eve, will see 11 awe-inspiring Scots being recognised for their outstanding achievements.The founder of a nationwide foodbank launched in response to the Covid pandemic, a teen fundraiser who has raised £420,000 for charity and a coastguard volunteer who pulled off a daring cliff rescue are among the unsung heroes who will be celebrated during the 90 minute programme.There will also be special awards for rugby icon and MND fundraiser Doddie Weir and Dame Laura Lee, founder of Maggie’s Centres.The show, which is hosted by Kirsty Gallacher and Elaine C.
