YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - A Colorado man was hospitalized after being gored by a bull bison at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, officials said. The 34-year-old man from Colorado Springs on Monday was walking with his family on a boardwalk near the Giant Geyser at Old Faithful, a popular tourist attraction located in the park, when the bull bison charged the group, according to a news release from park officials. When family members did not leave the area, the animal "continued to charge and gored the male." The man’s arm was injured, and he was taken by ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, officials said. The incident remains under investigation. Yellowstone National Park had recently reopened to visitors after destructive floods hit the area.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is facing several charges after officials say his plans to carjack food delivery drivers turned deadly for one elderly victim.John Nusslein, 18, is accused of placing food delivery orders as a ruse to lure drivers in at least two separate occasions last year. He reportedly worked with co-conspirators during each incident.In the first alleged attack, police say Nusslein was involved in the beating of a 70-year-old delivery driver and stealing his car on the 3000 block of Teesdale Street. The victim eventually died from his injuries, and a 12-year-old boy was charged with murder in connection to his death.Less than two weeks later, a second delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint on the 9000 block of Hilspach Street.

WINTER PARK, Fla. - A Winter Park lawyer is going to prison after detectives say he stole millions of dollars from a 108-year-old woman. The victim, Helen Kuhn passed away earlier this month, but the Orange County Sheriff's Office says she caught on to the fraud back in 2019."She’s excellent, beautiful woman, strong woman," said Wandys Vazquez Suares, who lived across the street from Kuhn.Living in Orlando, investigators say Kuhn had taught school for 35 years, flew planes until the age of 93, and drove a car until 101.

DETROIT (FOX 2) - The 3-year-old boy who was found dead in a freezer in Detroit early Friday morning was blind, neighbors say, and the boy's family said Child Protective Services had been called 13 times this year.The young boy, who police have not identified but neighbors and family members confirm to FOX 2 is named Chase, was found dead in a freezer inside the family's home.Detroit Police Chief James White said the young boy had been decomposing when he was found and credited the first officers to respond for following their instinct.According to neighbors, Chase was blind and had some other disabilities, but those were not listed.Chase, 3, has been identified by family members and neighbors as the little boy found dead and decomposing inside of a family's freezer on Friday. "She (the mother) couldn't deal with it, and we all said give him to us if you can't deal with it," a relative said.Family members also told FOX 2's Jessica Dupnack that CPS had been called at least 13 times this year but each time, they were unable to make headway and were not allowed inside the home."He was the sweetest one.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia woman is facing charges in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 21-year-old woman, authorities say. Quadera Parrish, 25, turned herself into police on Friday with her attorney and was charged with several crimes including homicide by vehicle. It's alleged that Parrish was behind the wheel of a gray Tesla that struck and killed 21-year-old Dia Lee on Germantown Avenue last Monday. Police shared photos of the wanted vehicle hours after the fatal crash and urged anyone with information to reach out to the Philadelphia Police Department.Dia Lee, 21, was crossing Germantown Avenue on Culter Street around 7 p.m. when police say a speeding Tesla struck her and kept driving.

PHILADELPHIA - An investigation is underway after a man died after being shot in South Philadelphia, according to police. Captain John Walker with the Philadelphia Police Department says the shooting took place on Tuesday night around 11:45 p.m. He says officers with the 3rd District responded to a shooting on 4th and Oregon in the South Philadelphia area. According to authorities, officers found a man with a gunshot wound in his neck in a rented SUV. Medics arrived on scene and rushed the man to Jefferson Hospital where he was first placed in critical condition but later died, officials say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESInvestigators say they learned the SUV was driving on Ritner Street when at least 12 shots were fired at the passenger side of the vehicle. According to police, investigators are still working to learn if the victim was a driver or passenger. Authorities say there are currently no witnesses but they are urging anyone with information to contact police.

Toronto police say a 33-year-old man has been charged after allegedly setting a woman on fire on a city bus on Friday in what is now being investigated as a suspected hate crime.Investigators say they were called to the area of Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street West shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Friday for reports of an assault.They allege a man poured a liquid substance on a woman while on board the same bus as her and then lit the liquid on fire.Police say the man then left the area while the woman was rushed to hospital.Police say the Toronto man was found nearby and arrested.

PHILADELPHIA - A 17-year-old has died after he was shot outside of a store in Southwest Philadelphia, police say. According to authorities, the shooting happened on the corner of Buist Avenue and S 61st Street. Police say officers and fire medics arrived on scene and found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Medics rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m., according to authorities. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESInvestigators were able to view the incident on surveillance cameras, police say. From surveillance, authorities say they learned that a suspect shot one of the tires of a pickup truck parked near the store. Then, a second suspect picked up the same gun from the ground and walked east toward the teen who was leaving the store with food, authorities say. According to police, the suspect got within a foot or two of the teenager and fired four shots at his head in what police are calling an "execution-style" shooting. Inspector D.F.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - A very smart, brave, and innocent 15-year-old is recovering after a horrific experience last Friday.Gianna Vitarelli and her girlfriend were leaving Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara when suddenly something happened."Me and her heard a really loud 'thwack' noise and I immediately said 'Ow!'" Gianna recalled.It turns out she was hit by a drive-by pellet gun projectile, a situation the Santa Clara police are now investigating. "We turned around to see what that was, and we just see a car driving off, rolling up its window," the teen said.After blood started flowing from the wound, paramedics thought it was a relatively minor piercing of her skin. But, as her condition worsened, and her breathing was labored, doctors found out it was much worse."My wife took her to urgent care and they had done an X-ray and that's where they found the pellet," said her father, Mike Vitarelli.The pellet had done its damage."It had collapsed my lung, fractured a rib, it caused a lot of internal bleeding and then it almost hit my heart," said Gianna.That serious injury caused Gianna to have emergency surgery and spend three days in the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.The pellet is and will remain in her lung."It's going to take a long time to recover.

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile in critical condition Monday night.Officials say around 6:04 p.m., on the 3900 block of North 7th Street, a 17-year-old was shot nine times throughout his body. The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was placed in critical condition, according to authorities. No arrest was made in this incident and no weapon was recovered. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. 

A four-year-old boy has been found alive and well after he went missing two days earlier near his home in Montana, authorities said.

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. - A 33-year-old father drowned while trying to save his 9-year-old son who was floating away in a tube, according to North Carolina authorities. A spokesperson with NC State Parks identified the father as Shane Hunt of Fairmont. Authorities said Hunt’s son was in a tube tethered to a boat when it detached at Lake Waccamaw Saturday. RELATED: 'I’m not going to let you die': Pregnant mother rescues 3 girls from drowning in Lake MichiganHunt jumped into the water without a life jacket to try and save his son, according to authorities.
