Senate could begin debating COVID-19 relief bill, $1,400 stimulus checks Thursday
WASHINGTON - As law enforcement remains on high alert around the U.S. Capitol amid reports of a "possible plot" by a militia group to storm it again, the Senate is still set to meet Thursday and could begin debating the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has said he wants unanimous GOP opposition.
