CDC Unveils Proposal For Distributing Coronavirus Vaccine In US.
CNBC (8/26, Lovelace) reports the CDC on Wednesday unveiled “guidelines for distributing a coronavirus vaccine in the United States if and when one is approved for public use.” The guidelines “would prioritize health-care workers, essential personnel and vulnerable Americans, like the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.” In addition, they “would include all paid and unpaid people working in health-care settings.” Furthermore, “essential personnel, which the CDC estimates make up 60 million to 80 million of the population, working in food and agriculture, transportation, education, energy, wastewater and law enforcement, would also be among the first to get the vaccine, according to the proposal.”
