Sir Ian McKellen has provided an encouraging update on his health following an incident which occurred earlier this week.The esteemed actor was performing in Player Kings at the Noël Coward Theatre in London on Monday (June 17) when he fell from the stage. McKellen, 85, reportedly suffered a fractured wrist among other injuries, but has provided a hopeful update.In a statement issued to Deadline by McKellen’s publicist Clair Dobbs, the Lord Of The Rings star thanked his fans for “their kind messages and support”.He also confirmed that his “injuries have been diagnosed and treated by a series of experts, specialists and nurses working for the National Service.”He continued: “To them, of course, I am hugely indebted.
