Alan Titchmarsh has spent the lockdown thinning in his garden and has dropped more than a stone as a result. The TV presenter normally has professional help maintaining his acre of “proper garden” and three acres of wildflower meadow and wildlife pond.
However due to the ongoing lockdown, the green-fingered telly host has embarked on the challenge without help. He has tackled it all alone since late March, every day from 9am to 6pm – and revealed that it has also been a wake-up call.
