On Friday night, Simon opened up about being 'proud' of his wife as they welcomed their new arrival baby Theo.The Sky Sports presenter, 51, welcomed his second baby with his wife Derrina, who he married in 2021.The couple already share 15-month-old daughter Talitha together, while Simon is also dad to 12-year-old Ethan - his son with his late wife Gemma.

Sharing some candid snaps from the birth, he wrote on Instagram: "After a long ten days of endless hospital visits and uncertainty, feel incredibly blessed to be able to say that Theo Benjamin Thomas was born this week - Ethan & Talitha have a little brother!" He said: "After the drama and fear of Talitha’s premature arrival nineteen months ago - this time was so different and we’re so thankful for this.

I’m so proud of @derrina . She was desperate to reach full term this time and she did it. She’s the most incredible Mum and I know that he has a mother who will always be his biggest cheerleader." "It’s been a long few days and not without some drama along the way; but as ever we are incredibly grateful to the wonderful doctors and midwives at Stoke Mandeville Hospital for getting us through.

Now it’s time to hopefully get Derrina & Theo home from hospital this weekend." He continued his post by pointing out how he 'hates' missing work but explained that "family comes first" as he confirmed that he wouldn't be on Soccer Saturday this weekend.
