People who use East Ayrshire Council buildings have been urged to make a property pledge. The Property Pledge campaign was launched at Kilmarnock’s Onthank Primary School.
The pledge aims to promote a sense of pride and co-ownership in those who use, work in and visit council buildings and encourages them to highlight any aspects that require attention to the manager of the premises.School caretakers, head teachers, janitors, premise managers and community representatives will all be asked to sign the pledge on behalf of the property they work in or use.The initiative also aims to drive up standards of workmanship as council contractors pledge to deliver a quality repair service, with their workmanship being rated by property support staff.
