Inside the life of The Repair Shop's Steve Fletcher from family heartbreak to unusual career

Since launching on our screens back in 2017, BBC’s The Repair Shop has become known for its sentimental stories and wholesome transformations as everyday people have some of their most personal items restored back to their former glory.

Among those working on The Repair Shop to make it the success that it has become is Steve Fletcher who has appeared on the show since day one.

As a horologist, Steve specialises in fixing the clocks that enter through the barn’s doors. But away from our TV screens, the 61 year old manages the Clock Workshop in Witney.The third-generation family business was established in 1910 by Steve’s grandfather and was passed to Steve’s father and then himself in 2007.

However, after gaining qualifications from a British Horological Institute college course in 1973, the TV personality hasn’t always solely worked with watches and clocks.
