A major incident has been declared in Bournemouth after thousands of people descended on the seaside town, ignoring pleas to stay away.The Dorset beach was crammed with sun-seeking Brits defying social distancing measures in today's scorching weather, and now BCP Council has declared a major incident in response.Local services were overwhelmed as huge numbers of visitors arrived throughout the day, resulting in widespread illegal parking, littering, gridlock, illegal camping and "antisocial behaviour".Council leader Vikki Slade said: "We are absolutely appalled at the scenes witnessed on our beaches, particularly at Bournemouth and Sandbanks, in the last 24-48 hours.
