The Scottish Government today set out how it has committed almost £500 million to support pupils after 18 months of unprecedented disruption to their learning.
More staff for schools - including 500 classroom assistants - will cost £240 million, while previously announced policies like expanded free school meals are also expected to help drive down the growing attainment gap between pupils from the richest and poorest households.
