‘Succession’ star Alan Ruck used cane at the Golden Globes months after crashing car into pizza shop

2024 Golden Globes Sunday sporting a cane after the “Succession” star was involved in a car accident in October 2023. Ruck, sporting an all-black ensemble with the dark-brown cane, attended the awards ceremony with his wife, Mireille Enos.

The 67-year-old actor, who was nominated for best performance by a supporting actor in a TV series, is currently in the middle of legal proceedings after he managed to damage three other vehicles before his own plowed into a Los Angeles pizza joint on Halloween.

Horacio Vela, one of the drivers allegedly injured by the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star, sued Ruck claiming that he suffered “severe injuries and damages.” In a complaint that was filed in a Los Angeles Superior Court and later obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Vela alleges that Ruck “abruptly and forcefully accelerated his vehicle” while stopped at a red light on Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.The complaint alleges that Ruck’s vehicle hit the bumper of Vela’s Hyundai Elantra, forcing the car to hit another vehicle while Ruck’s car slammed into a third car before careening into the restaurant.

Vela stated his car was a “total loss” and was towed away from the scene while he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center via ambulance with “severe injuries.”Reps for the “Cheaper by the Dozen” star have yet to issue a formal statement, although Ruck’s attorney, Neama Rahmani, told the outlet: “Accidents happen.
