Friends fear Vanessa Feltz is doing 'too much' as they beg her to 'take her foot off the gas' after hospital dash

Vanessa Feltz suffered quite the health scare when she was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, after finding herself 'doubled over in agony', following lunch at home with her grandkids.

The TV presenter, 62, was diagnosed with kidney stones and promptly treated by surgeons but was left shaken by the ordeal as she updated her social media followers from her hospital bed the morning after. And, while Vanessa is on the mend and even returned to work on daytime TV just days later, the medical dash has left her nearest and dearest with worries, a source has revealed to OK!.

"Vanessa's family are scared she's doing too much and are worried about her health, especially after this hospital scare.

They are begging Vanessa to take her foot off the gas," said the source. Detailing her medical emergency via an Instagram post, Vanessa explained, "I was completely fine, not anything wrong with me at all and then suddenly I got this pain and it was just absolutely extraordinary.

I've never had anything like it and I've given birth to two children naturally, never had any pain like that in my life." "Normally, I am quite a trooper with this stuff.... I normally could be ill and I'll take a couple paracetamol and just rock on.

But there was no way I could, I just couldn't. So anyway, luckily managed to get seen at hospital quite quickly, thank God, because I was just in agony.

I couldn't sit down, I couldn't lie down, I didn't know what to do." Vanessa continued that doctors decided to operate after finding it was a kidney stone causing the pain, with the stone 5mm large. She also assured fans that she was feeling 'much better' The operation comes after Vanessa admitted she went out 330 nights in a row last year following her split
