ROBBIE Coltrane has died age 72 after a long health battle that left him wheelchair-bound and "in pain 24 hours a day". Coltrane, who is best known for playing the beloved Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid in Harry Potter, died in hospital in Scotland. The 72-year-old had osteoarthritis, which saw him bound to a wheelchair in his later years and in "constant pain".

Covid-19: The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.01 per cent. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.07 per cent. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Prosecutors in the case of Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz are calling for an investigation after a juror said she felt threatened by another member of the jury during deliberations that ended with a life sentence for Cruz’s murder of 17 people.The motion calls for law enforcement to interview the unnamed juror after she told the state attorney’s office about what "she perceived to be a threat from a fellow juror while in the jury room." No further details were given. A hearing was held Friday afternoon, where the judge said the matter should be in the hands of law enforcement.The jury foreman said three of the jurors ultimately voted for life in prison, with one of them being a "hard no" on the death penalty and another two ultimately choosing to vote against it as well.A divided jury spared Cruz the death penalty and instead decided to send him to prison for the rest of his life in a decision that left many families of the victims angered, baffled and in tears.

PHILADELPHIA -  Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects wanted in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this month. The incident happened back on Oct. 1, on the 900 block of Marcella Street.Police say the victim, a 42-year-old man, was sitting on his front porch when two male suspects approached him just before midnight.Both men opened fire from the sidewalk, and continued firing as they made their way up the porch stairs, according to police. MORE HEADLINES: Investigators told FOX 29 following the shooting that the suspects continued to fire as the victim laid on the ground.

MIAMI - An American Airlines flight from Miami to Barbados returned to the airport after fumes filled the cabin, officials said.Flight 338 departed Miami International Airport at Wednesday night, but had to return due to a strong chemical odor coming from a passenger's carry-on item, spokesman Greg Chin told The Associated Press.Passengers and crew exited the plane on the airfield and were evaluated by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Chin said. TARRANT COUNTY, Texas - Former Los Angeles Angels employee Eric Kay was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for giving pitcher Tyler Skaggs pills laced with fentanyl that ended up killing him.In February, Kay was found guilty of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.In 2019, the Angels were in Texas to play the Rangers when the 27-year-old Skaggs was found dead inside of his Southlake hotel room with a mix of ethanol, fentanyl and oxycodone in his system.Investigators found pills inside Skaggs' hotel room that looked like oxycodone tablets. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department has announced the arrest of a second suspect wanted in connection with a deadly shooting near Roxborough High School in September. Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore announced the arrest via Twitter on Thursday morning. Police have not yet released additional information about the arrest or the suspect who is now in custody. The second arrest comes one day after police arrested and charged 21-year-old Yaaseen Bivins in connection with the deadly ambush shooting that left 14-year-old Nicholas Elizalde dead. RELATED COVERAGEPolice also issued an arrest warrant for 16-year-old Dayron Burney-Thorn, who is wanted on murder charges in relation to the incident. Police say Elizalde and four other teenagers had just finished participating in a football scrimmage and were walking back to the locker room when a group of five suspects exited an SUV and opened fire on the group in September. According to police, at least 60 shots were fired in the shooting that left Elizalde with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.

PHILADELPHIA - Two Wawa employees were pepper sprayed early Thursday morning at a store in University City, police say. According to authorities, the incident occurred at the Wawa on the 3600 block of Chestnut Street around 1 a.m. Police did not release further details about the incident or investigation. This comes as it has been revealed that Wawa is considering removing Philadelphia from its expansion plans because of concerns over crime in the city. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Councilmember Mike Driscoll received the information from a senior Wawa representative. Driscoll says he met with the representative one day after the Wawa in Mayfair was ransacked by dozens of juveniles. In a statement, a spokesperson for Wawa said they do not comment on their planning process. Since 2020, at least four Wawas have closed their doors and others have cut their hours. 

PHILADELPHIA - Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating several shootings that left at least one man dead and several others injured late Wednesday night and early Friday morning.  Two shootings took place just hours apart in the West Philadelphia neighborhood on Market Street. Police say the first happened just before 10:30 p.m.
