B&Q have slashed the price of Christmas trees to as little as 1p in some stores in a bid to shift stock. The DIY giant has been seen discounting Normand Firs all over the country, which are usually priced at around £35.
Shoppers have reported Christmas trees being flogged for a penny, while B&Q in Glasgow’s Great Western Retail Park is selling them for 10p.
Members of bargain forum Hot UK Deals claim that Homebase and Wickes are giving Christmas trees away for free in selected stores.
