The rollout launch, on Tuesday, was dubbed 'V-Day' by Health Secretary Matt Hancock. But, as the first 800,000 doses of the vaccine are being administered in the coming weeks in the UK, workers are beginning to ask about their rights and whether their employer can force them to be immunised - particularly as the vaccine could pave the way for employees to return to the workplace safely at some point next year.
To help clear things up, we spoke to Sarah Calderwood, an employment and HR lawyer at Manchester firm Slater Heelis, for her advice on what the rules are when it comes to employers asking staff to get the vaccination.
