The roll-out of a coronavirus vaccine will loosen the tier system in England by March, Matt Hancock has said. The Health Secretary added he cannot wait for us to get back to normal and said the Government will at some point be able to set a date for a "liberation day".
He said the availability of a vaccine - the first doses of which will be given out on "V-Day" on Tuesday - means the current restrictions could be eased in months to come.
But the upbeat Health Secretary's pledges come as a new poll showed more than half of Brits does not trust the Government to handle the coronavirus pandemic.
