It would appear that country superstar Dolly Parton is working longer than a 9 to 5 as she revealed she's donating $1M towards finding a cure for coronavirus.

The 74-year-old is donating a substantial amount to a research project at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Making the announcement on Instagram, the American star urged people to "give what they can" as the pandemic continues to spread across the globe.

She put: "My longtime friend Dr. Naji Abumrad, who's been involved in research at Vanderbilt for many years, informed me that they were making some exciting advancements towards research of the coronavirus for a cure. "I am making a donation of $1 million to Vanderbilt towards that research," she added.
