Salford Council say they are in regular contact with the leaders of the city's Orthdox Jewish community after reports of families ignoring lockdown rules.
Pictures have circulated on social media of Jewish families in Higher Broughton allegedly ignoring restrictions and failing to social distance.
Councillor David Lancaster, lead member for environment and community safety, said it was only a "small minority" of the Jewish community who were failing to adhere to social distance measures.
He said the council are in weekly communication with the community leaders to keep residents informed of the latest restrictions.
