The Minister for Tourism has indicated that the Government is examining introducing additional supports for wet pubs who want to serve customers outside.
In March the Government announced a €17m scheme that would provide grants of up to €4,000 to hotels, cafes, restaurants and attractions where food is sold, to help them prepare premises for serving outdoors.
However, wet pubs expressed disappointment that they were not going to be eligible for the scheme as they do not serve food.
