Greater Manchester's latest Covid data: Cases in Trafford continue to 'rocket' as infection rate reaches highest it's ever been

Coronavirus cases in Trafford are continuing to soar - with the infection rate increasing by 50 per cent week, the latest figures show.

The latest Public Health England data shows that the transmission rate in the borough now stands at 731.1 per 100,000 .

That is the highest rate the borough has ever seen - and the highest currently in Greater Manchester. It is the joint second-highest rate in the country - with Barrow-in-Furness - as things stand.
