Hairy Biker Dave Myer's devastating 7 word statement about cancer battle
Dave Myers, one half of the beloved Hairy Bikers duo, poignantly shared a seven-word message in one of his final TV appearances before his passing aged 66 in February.The heartwarming series featured Simon 'Si' King and Dave journeying along the UK's west coast after Dave completed his cancer treatment.
Although Dave never disclosed the type of cancer he was battling since his treatment announcement in May 2022, he took a brief hiatus from work before returning to film the latest instalment, The Hairy Bikers Go West.
In an episode that hit close to home, the pair visited Lancashire, where Dave was born, stirring up heartfelt emotions. As the episode drew to a close, both Si and Dave took a moment to reflect on their adventures.
Si emotionally remarked: "It's great getting back here with my best mate. We didn't think 18 months ago that we'd be on the bikes again wandering around Dave's backyard and it's wonderful that we are." Dave, with a beaming smile, then said: "It's been glorious.The motorcycling's been glorious.
