A 'hero' great-grandfather with underlying health issues has surprised doctors by making a full recovery from Covid-19. Raymond Lancaster, of Congleton, has been battling coronavirus for four weeks at Macclesfield General Hospital.
The 70-year-old was first admitted to hospital on March 21 after he fell and cut his head. Unfortunately, Raymond, a retired printing press worker, tested positive for coronavirus while being treated for the wound.
He was transferred to a special coronavirus ward and underwent oxygen treatment. At one point his family did not believe he would make it as he suffers from COPD and has an aneurysm on his aorta.
