Aldi shoppers were left stunned on Friday, after the supermarket's first ever home delivery scheme sold out in just minutes after going live.

The German discounter has launched a new food box initiative to help those in self-isolation during the coronavirus crisis, however its parcels sold out in record time after an influx on online visitors.

Aldi is offering 22 essential products including tinned soup, rice and pasta for £24.99 - with each food box also including antibacterial handwash and a four-pack of toilet roll.
