Bindi Irwin has married her childhood sweetheart Chandler Powell at a stunning ceremony at Australia Zoo. The occasion was a huge family affair that included a heartfelt tribute to Bindi's late dad Steve Irwin.

But the happy couple had a race to make it down the aisle as the country's Federal Government put restrictions on mass gatherings as a response to the coronavirus crisis.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that as of 1pm (GMT) on Wednesday, a maximum of five people could attend weddings - including the bride and groom - to stop the spread of the virus.

Hours before the lockdown went ahead, Bindi and Chandler decided to bring forward their vows to ensure all of their friends and family could celebrate with them.
