Queues of traffic surrounded West Lothian’s recycling centres as they re-opened on Monday.They had been closed due to restrictions on non-essential travel which have been in place across the country throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.All five centres experienced high volumes visitors but West Lothian Council said the first day of opening went well, with long queues kept to a minimum at most sites.Oakbank and Whitburn are West Lothian’s busiest sites and the council is urging customers who visit these sites in particular to be patient.The Oakbank site is located off the A71 road which can cause some congestion problems on busy days.In advance of Monday, the council had worked with Police Scotland to help minimise the disruption on the road and
