The next series of Love Island could be pre-recorded in a bid to protect contestants mental health. The iconic ITV dating show has been the subject of much controversy over the past number of years in relation to stars dealing with overnight fame after appearing on the show, and the pressures of fame that comes with it.
Now, Love Island bosses are reportedly thinking up of new ways to protect vulnerable contestants from the overwhelming wave of attention placed on them while in the villa.
From now on, the show could be scrapping its live format and ditching the public votes to evict the islanders. Every year, the show’s biggest stars leave the villa having no idea of how popular or unpopular they are in the outside world.
