Monklands residents who are able to help others during the coronavirus pandemic are being encouraged to register via the new Scotland Cares project. It allows helpers to register to provide support such as taking food, medicine and supplies to vulnerable people who are currently unable to leave home, as well as finding out about existing community initiatives including foodbanks and community groups which can use additional volunteers.More than 21,000 people across the country signed up on the campaign’s launch day; and Airdrie representatives Neil Gray MP and Alex Neil MSP are encouraging constituents who can gt involved to do so.
