A mum has issued a warning to other parents about the Kawasaki disease affecting kids after her five-year-old son fell seriously ill with the condition.
Hannah Fields and her husband Luke, from Leeds, West Yorkshire, rushed Harry to hospital after he developed an inflammatory fever and his heart rate became so fast that he was unable to stand.
Medics at Leeds General Infirmary admitted the youngster on to a ward that had coronavirus patients where he was diagnosed with the disease and given antibiotics, fluids and steroids through a drip for five days, Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
