Number of Covid outbreaks has increased - HSPC

New figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that the number of Covid-19 outbreaks in Ireland increased last week.

There were 173 outbreaks, an increase of 45 on the previous week. The number of reported outbreaks rose in private houses, workplaces, residential institutions and hospitals.

However, outbreaks in nursing homes reduced from six to three. There were 34 private house outbreaks, 24 in the workplace, 20 in residential institutions and ten in hospitals.
