Couple accused of breaking into more than 250 vehicles across Pennsylvania pleads guilty

HARRISBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania couple has been charged with the theft and burglary of more than 250 vehicles, according to Attorney General Josh Shapiro. On Tuesday, authorities identified the couple as Keith Johnson and Jessica Fletcher of Yardley. Police say an investigation began after a series of unsolved car break-ins occurred in Bucks County over several months. The couple's crime spree spread across many counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, including Montgomery County and Philadelphia. Ghost guns are a growing concern in Philadelphia as gun violence rises, AG says

PHILADELPHIA - The spike in gun violence during the pandemic has unnerved residents, elected officials and community leaders alike, but the concern is growing over firearms described as ghosts."Ghost guns are essentially a firearm that comes in two separate parts with a couple of screws to drill the gun together and you have a firearm in just a few minutes," Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told FOX 29.Shapiro is concerned about the growing threat because ghost guns are untraceable and sold online in kits that do not require a criminal background check to purchase.For him, the main point of the issue is that people with criminal backgrounds, who cannot own a gun legally, can obtain one this way. PHILADELPHIA - Two men have been charged after Philadelphia police and federal agents found a van containing low-grade explosives Wednesday night, Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced.Authorities say police officers found a group of 10-15 vehicles in the City Avenue Marriott parking lot. Officers then witnessed the group of vehicles leave the parking lot once police arrived at the scene.Officers pursued the vehicles after they first attempted to unsuccessfully ram a Target parking lot barricade at 4000 Monument Road, according to investigators. They were then followed down I-76 toward Center City and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
