Barbora Krejcikova made history on Saturday July 13 by becoming the fifth Czech woman to win Wimbledon, defeating Italian hopeful Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Barbora now joins the ranks of her late mentor Jana Novotna, two-time champion Petra Kvitova and Vondrousova as Czech women who have won Wimbledon, which saw an array of celebrities attend on the eleventh day.This is her second career win, having previously won Roland Garros in 2021. She opened up emotionally about being guided by fellow Czech Jan, who won Wimbledon in 1998 and tragically passed away from cancer in 2017 at the age of just 49.
