PHILADELPHIA - A man is in the hospital after being stabbed during an altercation in Ogontz, according to police. Authorities say 35th District officers responded to the 6300 block of N Gratz Street around 11:21 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - A 16-year-old is in the hospital after being shot in Juniata Park early Monday morning. According to police, officers with the 24th District responded to reports of a shooting on the 1800 block of E Pike Street around 12:24 a.m. The teen was shot once in the chest and once in the hand, according to authorities. He was transported by police to Temple Hospital and placed in stable condition, per officials. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPolice say no arrests were made and the weapon used in the shooting was not recovered.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition with severe injuries to his face and head after being shot in West Philadelphia. According to authorities, the shooting happened on the 6100 block of Lansdowne Avenue in Caroll Park around 9:30 p.m.

PALM BEACH, Fla. - A Florida man was shot in the head by authorities but survived the incident, officials said, after he allegedly took his social worker hostage and sexually assaulted her for 15 hours.Tzvi Allswang, 20, sustained severe head injuries but is expected to survive. He was subsequently booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Wednesday, police said, after medical treatment.According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Fox News, the victim told police she arrived at Allwang's residence around 6:30 p.m.

TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey Police say a four-month investigation led to the "dismantling" of a human trafficking network and the arrest of six suspects.Eleven female victims, including at least one juvenile, were smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico and forced into prostitution, according to police.The investigation began in January when officials reportedly obtained information that a juvenile was being trafficked out of a residence in Trenton.

(FOX 9) - Big Lake police are warning parents to monitor their children’s cell phone activity after they say an 18-year-old man took a Greyhound bus from Chicago to Big Lake, equipped with gifts and flowers to meet an 11-year-old girl.According to the Big Lake Police Department, over the weekend officers responded to a report of a suspicious man/unwanted party at a residence. Through an investigation, authorities learned the 18-year-old man showed up at the residence with flowers and gifts for the homeowner's 11-year-old daughter.

LOGAN - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that critically wounded a 30-year-old man.Officials say 35th District officers were called to the 1200 block of West Wingohocking Street, around 5:15 p.m., in Philadelphia's Logan section, on the report of a person shot.Witnesses described a black SUV idling on West Wingohocking about 20 minutes. One of the witnesses called police about the idling vehicle.At about that time, the vehicle moved forward at a slow rate of speed and within 200 feet or so, sideswiped a parked vehicle.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say two mourners were shot and killed while riding in a funeral procession for a Philadelphia homicide victim Friday afternoon.Officers from the Upper Darby Police Department were called to the area of Marshall Road and Powell Lane around 1 p.m.

Wagner Tejeda-Pena, 24, is wanted for allegedly shooting a 76-year-old man who was out on his routine morning walk in Philadelphia in June 2021.  PHILADELPHIA - Police have announced the name of a homicide suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Philadelphia. Authorities say 24-year-old Wagner Tejeda-Pena is wanted for the murder of 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, who was found shot once in the head near his driveway in the alleyway behind L and Claridge Streets in late June. Authorities say a man, identified by family members as 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, was shot in the head on his routine morning walk. Nguyen is remembered by neighbors for his friendliness.According to police, Ngueyn was out for his routine morning walk in his neighborhood when he was shot unprovoked. The incident was captured on surveillance video and footage from a neighbor is believed to show Tejeda-Pena running down an alleyway towards Hunting Park after the shooting. Police say the suspect is also wanted for an aggravated assault on the 1200 block of East Luzerne Street that took place about 15 minutes before the deadly shooting.According to authorities, Tejeda-Pena pulled out a handgun on two people and pulled the trigger several times, but the gun malfunctioned and did not fire.

CAMDEN - New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy this week signed seven new bills into law aimed at curtailing gun violence, including legislation to allow the state attorney general to pursue lawsuits against the firearm industry.One measure requires safety training to get a firearm purchasers permit, and another bans .50-caliber weapons.

TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey State Police announce arrests in a reported human trafficking ring, operating out of Trenton. Officials announced the arrest of eight individuals Wednesday, along with the dismantling of the ring, as a part of a four-month investigation.In January, according to authorities, detectives with the State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit received information about a juvenile who had been trafficked from a residence on Hudson Street, in Trenton.A search warrant was executed and, in the process, detectives found two female victims in the residence.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say one man is dead and another was injured in a shooting in Kensington on Wednesday night. According to authorities, SEPTA and Philadelphia police officers responded to the 600 block of East Lippincott Street in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. Officials say a 23-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and legs. SEPTA police transported the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m. Another victim, a 40-year-old man, arrived at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the back, according to authorities. Police say he was treated and released from the hospital.
