The Quebec government will provide an update on the province’s response to the novel coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday afternoon after rolling out more measures to slow the spread of the virus.

The numbers of cases, hospitalizations and deaths have continued to climb over the past two weeks. As of Monday, more than 3,000 people have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

The illness has led to three more deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 25. [ Sign up for our Health IQ newsletter for the latest coronavirus updates ] Premier François Legault said the number of patients in intensive care is well below the health-care system’s capacity.
