Soprano Celine Byrne has opened up about the traumatic obstacles she has had to face since lockdown was put in place. During Sean O’Rourke‘s new segment Lockdown Anthems, the opera singer joined him to share some of the more difficult aspects of lockdown she and her family have had to endure.
The critically acclaimed singer revealed that since the beginning of the pandemic, her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Heartbreak struck again when her mother-in-law contracted Covid-19 and passed away earlier this week. ‘I was fortunate enough to be in the church when she passed away…I see the blessings in everything,’ she told Sean. ‘I’m the type of person who tries to drive people… I want to celebrate her life.’ Trying to stay positive
