Two friends found dead in separate homes after being together 'just hours before'

Two friends were found dead at different addresses after they were together just hours earlier, it is understood. The pair have been named locally as Leon Pearce, 34, and Lisa Payne, 47.

They were found at separate addresses in Grimsby on Wednesday night and are believed to have been at the same gathering hours before, Grimsby Live reports.

Heartfelt tributes of sympathy have been paid to the pair as police investigate their deaths, not thought to be related to Covid-19.

Police are not treating the deaths as suspicious. Devastated friends paid their respects on social media. One friend said: "We have lost two beautiful angels." A close relative of Leon's said: "He was always much too precious for this horrible cruel world.
