The number of coronavirus patients to die in the UK has risen by 151 to 41,279. This number includes 95 fatalities in hospitals.
Health authorities have confirmed 83 deaths recorded in England, six in Wales, five in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland.
It brings the total number of people to die in hospitals since the start of the pandemic to 32,191. Last Thursday, June 4, 133 deaths were recorded in UK hospitals, while two weeks ago the figure was 213.
It comes as it emerged that several thousand people who tested positive for coronavirus could not be reached by the NHS's Track and Trace system.
