A 95-year-old WW2 veteran who beat coronavirus triumphantly announced: “I survived Guam, I can get through this bull***t”. Bill Kelly, of McMinnville, completed his recovery at his home in the US state of Oregon on Monday.
He had contracted the coronavirus on March 17 at the home he shares with his four family members. His granddaughter Rose Ayers-Etherington, 41, triumphantly told local media: “Grandpa Bill’s pretty hardcore.” Mr Kelly, who lived through the Great Depression and was one of the first US soldiers to fight in the South Pacific in WW2 started to feel unwell with a slight fever on March 15.
