In late May, YouTuber Myka Stauffer and her husband, James, announced their decision to give up Huxley, the four year old autistic boy they adopted from China almost three years earlier.
A month later, she posted an apology, saying "no adoptee deserves any more trauma.”In a seven-minute-long video that has since been taken down, the couple recounted how Huxley had "a lot more special needs that we weren't aware of, and that we were not told" during the adoption process. “After multiple assessments, after multiple evaluations, numerous medical professionals have felt that he needed a different fit in his medical needs.
