Air ambulance scrambled and police called over 'concern for welfare' of man

Police and paramedics were scrambled to an area in Rivington over a report of 'concern for the welfare' of a man. Emergency services were called to the scene near Roynton Road earlier this evening.

The air ambulance landed nearby. A man was taken to hospital in an air ambulance from the scene between Lancashire and Greater Manchester, police said.
