After being previously placed on hold, Amazon 's same-day delivery service returns today on selected products. At the height of the pandemic in March and April, the e-commerce giants placed a priority on essential items to customers most in need.
It meant items that didn't fall under the categories of food, health and personal care products could take as long as a month to arrive at your door.
As one of the few companies that continued unabated, Amazon hired an additional 175,000 individuals to their workforce throughout the past few months.
According to their daily blog, they are also said to have made 150 procedural changes with social-distancing to enhanced cleaning measures put in place.
