Amy Dowden has been forced to pull out of her planned return to Strictly Come Dancing as she was hit by a fresh health setback.
The dancer has been absent from the BBC One dance contest this year due to undergoing treatment for cancer. Amy revealed in June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, aged 33, and had undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction.
She has since been sharing her cancer journey online as she underwent chemotherapy treatment, which she celebrated coming to an end last week.
Amy was emotionally able to ring the bell in the hospital to signal the end of her treatment. Alongside the video of the special moment in which she was supported by her family, nurses and hospital staff, she said on Instagram: "I rang the bell and I’m so thankful I got too!
