Angelina Jolie has donated $1 million (£831,000) to a charity aiming to feed underprivileged children amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Eternals actress has generously handed over the sizeable donation to No Kid Hungry, an organisation which has spread $2 million (£1.6 million) across 30 states in the US to provide food for low-income families.
Explaining why she chose to get involved with this particular charity, Angelina said in a statement: ‘As of this week, over a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to coronavirus. ‘Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in America who rely on food support.
