VENTNOR, N.J. - Authorities in New Jersey have identified a man they say was shot and killed by police in Ventnor after allegedly advancing toward them with a broken bottle Thursday.The state attorney general’s office says Ventnor and Atlantic City officers responded shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Thursday to a 911 call about a man behaving erratically near Wellington Avenue and West End Avenue.Officers arrived on scene and encountered 30-year-old Amir Johnson, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.The attorney general’s office said officers found the Johnson walking in and out of a marshy area along the roadway while holding a broken glass bottle in his hand.Officials say the officers tried to offer him aid but he refused commands to drop the bottle and.

ANAHEIM, Calif. - An emotional vigil was held Thursday night for 23-year-old Yesenia Lisette Aguilar, who was killed Tuesday by a suspected DUI driver. Aguilar, who was 35-weeks pregnant with a girl, was walking down Katella Avenue with her husband when a Jeep jumped the curb and struck her.Aguilar was taken to the hospital and an emergency C-section was performed to deliver the baby. Aguilar passed away and her baby, Adalyn Rose, is in the ICU in critical condition.But, she is making great progress.
